25-005849 Court Order Violation 08:21:31 08/27/25
A San Juan Deputy took a third-party report of a potential court order violation. The incident is still under investigation.

25-005860 Fraud 12:46:06 08/27/25
A Lopez Deputy responded to a report of fraudulent phone calls impersonating a financial institution. The Lopez citizen who was being targeted realized that it was a scam and did not give away any information or money.

25-005861 Agency Assistance 12:52:00 08/27/25
A Deputy on Orcas took a report of wire fraud involving a deceased local resident. A report was taken and forwarded to federal authorities.

25-005862 Weapon Safekeeping 13:03:55 08/27/25
A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office about Safekeeping. The person was turning in a firearm for destruction. The firearm was secured in evidence.

25-005866 Domestic Dispute or Assault 14:26:10 08/27/25
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident. The involved parties declined anything occurred, denied any domestic relationship, and no physical evidence to the contrary was present.

25-005874 Animal Bite 20:05:29 08/27/25
A San Juan Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of a dog bite that broke the skin. The victim did not wish to pursue the matter criminally, and the dog owner was cooperative. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 28
25-005888 Weapon Safekeeping 14:44:24 08/28/25
I logged a gun into evidence for safekeeping. The gun was in a Pelican case with two combination locks on it. It had been left in the evidence room by a former Deputy. The Pelican case had not been labeled as evidence.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 29
25-005902 Unwanted Person 08:52:58 08/29/25
A Lopez Deputy completed a harassment report involving visitors to the island making racist and derogatory comments towards vacation home caretakers. This occurred multiple times from different visitors at different homes.

25-005911 Agency Assistance 14:42:38 08/29/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a call for an agency assist. Adult Protective Services (APS) requested a welfare check be conducted on a vulnerable adult. The incident was documented.

25-005920 Vicious Animal 18:01:47 08/29/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to an animal problem in the Olga area. A sheep owners’ livestock was killed and injured by two dogs. The dog owner was issued a citation, and the incident was documented.

25-005925 Citizen Assist 20:30:28 08/29/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a walk-in report of a citizen assist. The incident was documented.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 30
25-005934 Citizen Dispute 08:42:49 08/30/25
A Deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office about a Citizen Dispute. The person had been approached and yelled at by a known person while walking. The other person was contacted and warned about incident.

25-005935 Court Order Violation 09:21:00 08/30/25
A Deputy was contacted about an Order Violation on San Juan Island. The person calling reported that their daughter was receiving texts from a phone number they did not recognize. There is an order between their daughter and their daughter’s boyfriend.

25-005936 Citizen Dispute 10:36:06 08/30/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Citizen Dispute in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy contacted both the involved people. The issues being discussed were Civil and both were referred to the courts to resolve the issues. Both agreed to have no further contact except through mailing.

25-005938 Domestic Dispute or Assault 11:31:39 08/30/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Domestic in the San Juan Islander area. The Deputies arrived and contacted the involved people. The incident appeared to be verbal in nature. The people separated for the day.

25-005946 Harassment 13:44:58 08/30/25
A Lopez Deputy was contacted regarding a harassment incident. No probable cause for a crime exists. Civil court options were offered.

25-005948 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 14:16:27 08/30/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a suspicious incident in the Eastsound area. A resident observed a person drop off an ear of corn near the door to his residence. The Deputy learned the identity of this person and the homeowner requested they be trespassed from their property.

25-005951 Theft 15:14:24 08/30/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of theft with no suspect information. The reporting party provided the serial number of the stolen item; it was added to a search registry and a report was generated.

25-005952 Controlled Substance Problem 17:51:04 08/30/25
An Orcas Island Deputy received illicit drugs that were delivered to Orcas Island Fire and Rescue for destruction. The illicit drugs were placed into evidence for destruction and the incident was documented.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 31
25-005962 Animal Noise 07:36:19 08/31/25
A Deputy was dispatched to Animal Noise in the San Juan Island area. The Deputy arrived and located the barking dog. The owner was verbally warned at the scene for violation of the noise ordinance. Further a warning letter and copy of the county code were sent to the owner.

25-005964 Malicious Mischief 10:46:07 08/31/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Malicious Mischief in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy arrived and discovered an unused street had been “tagged”. Photos were taken.

25-005976 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 13:48:34 08/31/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a suspicious incident in the Eastsound area. A resident spoke with a person experiencing mental health problems and was recently observed dropping off an ear of corn at the neighbor’s residence. The homeowner requested they be trespassed.

25-005977 Kidnapping 14:17:32 08/31/25
A Deputy was dispatched to a Suspicious incident in the Friday Harbor area. The Deputy spoke with the involved person. Report taken on the incident.

25-005983 Found Property 15:37:58 08/31/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of found property. United States currency was found in Friday Harbor and the Deputy submitted the money into evidence as found property.

25-005989 Burglary – Residential 18:51:03 08/31/25
Orcas Island Deputies responded to a suspected residential burglary in the Eastsound area. Deputies learned that the suspect was a neighbor leaving fruit inside the homeowner’s garage and the homeowner did not want to file charges. The suspect was released, and the incident was documented.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
25-005998 Vehicle Theft 03:56:50 09/01/25
A Deputy on Orcas investigated a missing sailboat. The vessel was located by the US Coast Guard and it appeared to have drifted of in a storm.

25-006003 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 10:34:04 09/01/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a suspicious circumstance case. No assistance was required.

25-006004 Traffic Violation 10:38:16 09/01/25
A Lopez Deputy was dispatched to an alleged traffic offense. No violations were found. An informational report was completed.

25-006008 Theft 12:35:38 09/01/25
A Deputy on Orcas took a report of a theft from a business.

25-006013 Vicious Animal 16:41:21 09/01/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a dog park for a report of a dog bite. While at a dog park, a larger dog bit a smaller dog while playing. The Deputy spoke with both dog owners and a report was completed.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
25-006027 Found Property 11:23:26 09/02/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a found property. A suitcase had been recovered from the water that contained laptop computers and some other “personal” items. The items were booked into evidence as found property.

25-006029 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:01:22 09/02/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a domestic. The investigation showed that it was verbal in nature and no assault took place. This report is for information only.

25-006042 Agency Assistance 19:49:50 09/02/25
A person was trespassed from a local business at the request of the management.

25-006045 Parking Problem 22:24:30 09/02/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island issued a ticket for violation of San Juan County Code 10.28.040- Violation of Posted Moorage Sign.

25-006046 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:29:11 09/02/25
Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of a domestic incident. After speaking with the involved parties, probable cause for a crime was not established. A report was completed.
