A Lopez Deputy responded to a theft call. A porta-potty was taken from the property of a Lopez business. The matter is under investigation.

Orcas Island Deputies were dispatched to an animal attack call. The attacking animal has been quarantined and the victim animal was treated by the local Vet. The owner of the attacking animal was cited under county code for a public nuisance dog. The incident was documented.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a theft call. An individual who found a cell phone in a ditch did not attempt to locate the owner. Instead, they used it for three weeks. When confronted by a Deputy, they turned over the lost phone, which was returned to the owner.

Orcas Island Deputies were notified of found property. A pair of keys had been dropped off at the Orcas substation. The owner of the keys could not be identified, and they were booked into evidence.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted a welfare check on the 200 block of Cascade Way for a resident who had not been heard from in over one week. Upon arrival the Deputy was able to make entry to the residence and found the person in question deceased. An investigation was conducted.
