A Lopez Island Deputy contacted a homeless person, suspected of drug use, for a welfare check. The reporting person stated they were hoping temporary shelter was available. The Deputy contacted the homeless subject and found no evidence of a crime. A report was completed.

A Lopez Deputy was called for an unwanted person. The person was provided a courtesy ride and issued a trespass warning letter.

Deputies responded to a report of a juvenile problem in Friday Harbor. The involved juvenile was found to be a danger to himself and others and was transported to the ER for a mental health evaluation. Report made.

A Deputy responded to a threats complaint in Eastsound. It was discovered that a known suspect left a threatening voicemail over the phone. The suspect is not located in the county. The case is under further investigation.

A Lopez Island Deputy issued a parking ticket to an unattended vehicle in the ferry line during the loading of the 1045 sailing to Anacortes. When the vehicle owner arrived, he was directed to the end of the line.

A Lopez Island Deputy investigated a reported traffic hazard created by an event that drew a large crowd, which exceeded the capacity of the venue’s parking lot. The roadway was congested near the event by parked cars and pedestrians for the duration of the event. No enforcement action was taken.

A Deputy on Orcas stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a posted stop sign and failing to drive on right side of road. The driver was arrested for DUI, Ignition Interlock Violation and issued infractions for no insurance, fail to stop at stop sign and fail to drive on right side.
