25-005447 Animal Bite 10:10:32 08/13/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of a dog bite. The reporting party did not wish to pursue the matter criminally. The reporting party wanted the incident documented and for the owner to provide vaccination records for the dog. A report was completed.

25-005452 Accident-NonInj 11:34:14 08/13/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a 2 vehicle accident on Mullis St. A vehicle was stopped to turn into the Browne’s parking lot, when a second vehicle slammed into the back of them. The offending driver was issued an infraction for following to closely. A report was completed.

A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of vandalism. The reporting party found that a part of their property had been spray painted with a misspelled word. A report was completed.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 14
25-005477 Accident-HitRun 10:59:38 08/14/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a Hit and Run collision in Friday Harbor. Evidence was insufficient to support that the driver was aware of the collision. Information was exchanged and a report was generated.

25-005487 Vicious Animal 16:24:32 08/14/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an animal problem in the Eastsound area. The Deputy learned that two dogs were at large on the reporting party’s front yard. The Deputy located the dog owner and a verbal warning for violation of San Juan County animal at large ordinance was given.

25-005490 Trespassing 20:02:51 08/14/25
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of trespassing. The Deputy located an individual and issued a trespass warning letter for a residence.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15
25-005499 Burglary – Residential 04:26:00 08/15/25
AA San Juan Deputy on Orcas island responded to a report of a residential burglary, where padlocks had been cut. The reporting party believed they knew who it was who had been on their property in the middle of the night. The property owner wished to trespass the individual. A report was completed.

25-005507 Domestic Dispute or Assault 12:45:54 08/15/25
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that a crime appeared to have occurred; one person was arrested and booked into jail for Assault 4th degree – Domestic Violence.

25-005517 Harassment 17:04:19 08/15/25
An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a harassment incident in the Eastsound area. The Deputy learned that the harassment was a civil matter; however, two individuals were trespassed from the reporting party’s property. The incident was documented.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 16
25-005523 Traffic Hazard 01:14:34 08/16/25
An Orcas Island Deputy authored a report for two drivers that disabled their vehicles from a rockslide near the 1800 block of Deer Harbor Rd. The case number was provided to the drivers for their insurance company. San Juan County Public Works was notified of the traffic hazard.

25-005540 Accident-Injury, Traffic 17:16:51 08/16/25
Orcas Island Deputies and Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to a motor vehicle collision with injuries near the ferry terminal. The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to Island Hospital and subsequently arrested for DUI. The driver was released to the hospital for care.

25-005541 Citizen Dispute 17:37:48 08/16/25
Deputies on San Juan responded to a dispute. It was reported that an individual had stolen money. However, after speaking with those involved it was learned that the money was voluntarily given to buy “extra curricular activity” supplies. The substance was then not shared with the money provider.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 17
25-005555 Trespassing 10:08:12 08/17/25
A Lopez resident provided video of a trespasser on private property. A report was completed. The suspects are not local.

25-005563 Found Property 17:32:39 08/17/25
Deputy on San Juan Island was contacted by a citizen who had a found ring. The ring had been found at Jacksons Beach. It is unknown at this time who the ring belongs to, so it was booked into evidence as found property.

MONDAY, AUGUST 18
25-005576 Burglary,NonRes 08:17:08 08/18/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island received a report of a burglary. This case is still under investigation.

25-005589 Citizen Dispute 13:21:32 08/18/25
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a citizen dispute at the ferry landing. A report was taken.

25-005592 Parking Problem 15:23:25 08/18/25
A vehicle was tagged for a parking violation at the Hunter Bay parking area on Lopez.

25-005597 Citizen Dispute 17:41:57 08/18/25
Deputies on Orcas Island responded to a neighbor dispute. No crime was committed. The Deputy completed an informational report as this is an ongoing issue.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 19
25-005612 Death Investigation 10:05:00 08/19/25
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a death investigation. The scene was investigated and turned over to the coroners office. The death appeared to have been natural.

25-005618 Theft 12:19:30 08/19/25
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft at a local retail establishment. The suspect was located with the merchandise. The case was forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office for charging.

25-005627 Accident-HitRun 18:20:01 08/19/25
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a hit and run at the Brewery. The offending vehicle was local to the island, and the vehicle that got hit was a rental. The Deputy spoke with the renter, rental company, and offending driver. A report was completed.

25-005629 Malicious Mischief 19:02:23 08/19/25
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a vandalism complaint. After investigation, the incident was determined to be civil in nature. An informational report was authored.
