An Orcas Island Deputy conducted a burglary investigation at Rosario Resort & Spa. An unknown suspect forced entry into the business and stole over $2000.00.

A Deputy on Lopez collected a statement from an outer island resident involving a potential citizen dispute.

An Orcas Deputy investigated a report of fraud. A report was taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to a theft call on the 600 block of Eastsound Shores Rd. An investigation was conducted, and a theft report authored.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of trespassing at Jackson’s Beach. A person who had been previously trespassed was there and was found to be consuming intoxicants. The person was issued an infraction for alcohol and marijuana consumption: the trespass case was referred to the Prosecutor.

Deputies on San Juan Island responded to a report of an in-progress residential burglary. Upon arrival Deputies found that there had not been a burglary and witnesses on scene had not seen or heard anything suspicious. A report was completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy took a theft report of a 5-foot-tall metal sculpture of a rooster.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a single vehicle collision. It appears the driver suffered a medical episode.
22-002064 Runaway Juvenile 16:06:16 04/06/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of two runaway juveniles. Deputies searched but did not locate the juveniles, and they are believed to be staying with unknown friends at this time. Both were entered as missing.

A San Juan Deputy was dispatched to a report of harassment. The incident did not rise to a criminal act and the victims were referred to the court for remedy.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of trespassing. A person was located inside a building without permission but was no longer on-scene. They were later located and issued a Trespass Notice Letter.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of vandalism. Someone got upset at a tourist for legally parking in front of their residence and smeared grease on their windows and door handle.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a citizen dispute. The property owner wanted the subject trespassed which was served and a report was taken.

Two Lopez residents were trespassed from a village business. Trespass warning letters were completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the 35 Block of Main St. for a non-injury traffic collision. An investigation was conducted, and a report authored.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an order violation and harassment. No crime appears to be committed and the incident was documented.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a non-injury accident. One driver was arrested for negligent driving in the 1st degree.

22-002125 Intoxicated Person 13:05:13 04/08/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of an intoxicated person at The Big Store. The person was contacted and found to not be intoxicated. The person did exhibit significant signs of a mental health disorder, but refused any assistance.
22-002128 Vehicle Prowl 15:10:42 04/08/22
An Orcas Island Deputy took a vehicle prowl report. The theft from the victims vehicle occurred one week prior to the report being made by the victim.
22-002141 Citizen Dispute 19:49:55 04/08/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a citizen dispute in Friday Harbor. The caller relayed that a known mentally ill person was at their house and acting erratically. The person was contacted and refused assistance. No crime appeared to have occurred, so no further action could be taken.

A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a what was dispatched as a harassment complaint. No crime had been committed. An informational report was taken.
22-002146 Accident-HitRun 22:23:35 04/08/22
A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision. A mailbox was struck and destroyed and the driver left the scene, leaving behind a broken passenger side headlight. The vehicle was described as a newer truck driving northbound on Tucker Ave. No workable leads.
SATURDAY, APRIL 9
22-002154 Vehicle Theft 11:02:49 04/09/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a vehicle theft. The vehicle had been borrowed for longer than expected. The individual who borrowed the vehicle lost the key. The owner of the vehicle did not want to pursue charges, they just wanted their key back. A report was completed.

An Orcas Island Deputy contacted a business owner on the 200 block of Main St. reference a subject causing a disturbance. A report was authored.

An Orcas Island Deputy took a found property report and recovered a bicycle.
22-002160 Controlled Substance Problem 14:36:36 04/09/22
A Deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to Found Property. An outside agency was requesting to turn over items to be destroyed. The items were picked up and entered into evidence for destruction. Report taken.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to the downtown Eastsound area for a call of an adult subject chasing and screaming at several juveniles. An investigation was conducted, and a report authored.

Orcas Island Deputies arrested a suspect for Harassment, Obstructing Law Enforcement and Theft.
22-002165 Assault – Body Force 20:36:17 04/09/22
San Juan Deputies responded to a report of an assault at a bar in Friday Harbor. Three people were arrested for assault 4th degree (2 counts), malicious mischief 3rd degree and disorderly conduct. They were booked into the San Juan County jail.

A San Juan Deputy was contacted by an anonymous individual wishing to relay information about possible criminal activity. The case is still under investigation.
22-002184 Threats 15:38:42 04/10/22
A Deputy on San Juan Island took a report of threats being made on social media. The comments were reviewed, and it was determined that no crime had been committed. A report was completed.
MONDAY, APRIL 11
22-002193 Citizen Assist 06:52:03 04/11/22
A Deputy responded to a call back Citizen Assist call. The caller claims that a person is harassing her on Facebook and is “obsessed with her”. The screen shots emailed by the caller were reviewed and no criminal law violation was found. Report completed at the request of the caller.

A Deputy on San Juan Island responded to a report of a two vehicle collision. The at fault driver was issued an infraction for failing to yield right of way.

A Lopez Deputy responded to a call concerning ongoing landlord tenant issues. A report was taken.
22-002226 Abandoned Vehicle 17:08:21 04/12/22
A Lopez Deputy responded to a call concerning an abandoned vehicle on private property. Upon investigation, a Lopez citizen who attempted to recover the abandon vehicle also became stuck, needing recovery. The investigation is ongoing.
