17-002244 Burglary – Residential 03:50:41 04/26/17
A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a residential burglary complaint. The victim stated the perpetrator entered her house at night, without permission, while she was sleeping. The male subject fled on foot after the home owner awoke and called out for him to leave. The investigation continues.
17-002251 Welfare Check 11:38:18 04/26/17
A Deputy performed a Welfare Check at a residence on San Juan Island. The person at that residence was found to be unable to take care of herself. Adult Protective Services was contacted and she was taken out of the house for health reasons.

A Blakely Island resident report a residential burglary and the theft of wine. The investigation continues as further leads develop. A report was taken.
17-002261 Welfare Check 17:40:43 04/26/17
A Deputy was assigned to a Welfare check in Eastsound. After contacting the land owner about a possible missing person the subject was heard from and doing well.

Orcas Deputies and OIFR responded to an Eastsound address regarding an overdose of medication. The person was being treated for medical attention and transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

A Deputy was contacted by a WA. State ferry employee reference items left at the ferry terminal unattended. The items were searched and brought to the Sheriffs Office for safekeeping.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Eastsound residence in regards to a death investigation. The Coroner and a supervisor was notified. No signs of foul play.

A citizen contacted the Sheriffs Office to report being harassed and threatened at her residence and on social media regarding a previous incident.

A Lopez Island Deputy responded to a report of a deer damaging a moving vehicle after it ran into it in the 200 block of Ferry Road on 04/27/17. No one was injured and a collision report was completed.

A Deputy was dispatched to an Domestic assault that occurred in Friday Harbor. Suspect was taken in custody for Assault 4th Degree/DV.

A deputy was dispatched to the San Juan area in reference to a Fraud. The caller was contacted and advised that a local business had taken a fake $10.00 bill. No suspect information at this time.

Lopez deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance between a homeowner and her guests. No probable cause for a crime was found and guests were given a courtesy ride to the ferry.

A deputy was dispatched to a Domestic occurring in the Friday Harbor area. The reporting deputy arrived in the area. The domestic was found to be a loud party. Those involved promised to quiet down.

A Lopez Island deputy was called regarding a herd of about 50 sheep out on a Lopez Island roadway. The owner of the sheep was contacted, and the sheep were returned to their pasture. No further action necessary.

A Lopez Island man reported receiving harassing notes from a neighbor. Upon examination, there is no evidence of any criminal activity or intent. An information report was taken.

A deputy responded to Moran State Park referencing non-injury traffic collision. The collision was investigated and a report was written.

A deputy was contacted at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to an Order Violation which occurred in the Friday Harbor area. A report was taken on the incident.

A Seattle man reported that his backpack and other property had been taken from his campsite at Odlin Park while he participated in the Tour de Lopez cycling event on Lopez Island. A report was taken and the incident remains under investigation.

Lopez Island Deputies responded to a report of stolen property. Deputies talked with the victims, who had been camping on the island. A backpack had been taken from their tent while they were out biking around the island. The investigation is ongoing.

Lopez Island Deputies were dispatched to a local woman’s residence for a possible telephone harassment call. The suspect was contacted and asked to stop calling the woman’s home. Deputies cleared the scene with a report.

A Deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a suspicious, where a vehicle was parked in the roadway in front of someone’s residence. The investigation showed that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for DUI.

A deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Traffic Accident. The reporting deputy arrived and located a vehicle off the roadway. Investigation continues…

A deputy responded to an Animal at Large in the San Juan Island area. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The caller found a dog on his property. The owner arrived and picked up the dog.

A call was received from a Friday Harbor business regarding a disgruntled former employee. The caller stated the employee was causing a scene and they requested the Sheriff’s Office respond to assist with removing the subject.

A male minor was contacted at the Warbass Marina parking lot in his truck and arrested for possession and use of Marijauna/THC oil. He was cited, given a court date and released and the Marijuana and paraphernalia was seized as evidence.

A Lopez Island man reported identity theft that resulted in unauthorized bank transactions. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

A Deputy called an Eastsound resident about six or seven unknown subjects stealing about $100 in oysters from a private oyster bed he owns. A report was taken.

A Lopez Island man requested that another subject be trespassed from the caller’s place of employment. The caller alleges the other subject’s behavior was inappropriate and disruptive.

A deputy responded to a dog running at large in Eastsound. The dog owner was located and issued a warning letter.

Friday Harbor Port Security contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report a trespassed person on one of their properties. The subject was located and instructed to not return to the properties.
17-002395 Wanted Person 21:55:55 05/02/17
A deputy located a Friday Harbor resident with a Felony Bench warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the station to be processed.
