||| FROM RON KREBS, SAN JUAN COUNTY SHERIFF |||
Since the beginning of December, businesses in Eastsound have experienced a string of burglaries and
attempted burglaries which are happening at random times on random days between midnight and 6 a.m.
While the Sheriff’s Office is investigating and following up on leads, we want to remind you to lock up
all of your cash and secure any electronic devices if possible. These suspects are taking large amounts of
cash that is being left in till drawers or unsecured inside the business.
We are also asking if you have a security system and capture anything suspicious, or if you have any information as to who is committing these burglaries, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 360-378-4151.

I just Read the Sheriff statement on break-inns
So Sad that Orcas has to resort to Cameras and empty stores to keep persons from breaking into shops
Ive been in Bussiness on orcas for 35 years We had to put a sophisticated camera system in side and out runs on back up batteries when power problems infrared vision and we have caught every intruder also when we close take all valuables away For the first 20 years it was wonderful .did not have to worry
We have new people who are doing different habits to support .So we all need to on the watch for each other a community that helps each other thru the bad times
