The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a hunting accident on Lopez Island that occurred over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 18, the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a hunting accident. Deputies worked all weekend to gather information alongside the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police, Anacortes Police Department, and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
This is an active investigation that is still evolving. In the interest of maintaining the integrity of the investigation, no other details will be released until the investigation is complete or the release of additional information will not jeopardize the investigation.
