From the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office

On Friday, January 20, 2012  Jason C. Bell, 31, of Friday Harbor was arrested on a Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act: specifically, delivery of methamphetamine and cocaine. Bell was taken into custody without incident, and remains in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The arrest is the result of a several month investigation by Sheriff’s detectives into trafficking of illicit drugs in our island communities. The Sheriff’s Office will continue to work tirelessly to hold those responsible for supplying these destructive substances to our community accountable. The devastation methamphetamine and other drugs bring to individuals and families is inconsistent with our island values and cannot be tolerated.
