Since the launch of the Orcas Island Lions Club Sunrise Volunteers, we have enjoyed speakers Lance Evans of The Orcas Chamber, Mik Preysz, Fire Chief of Orcas Fire and Rescue, Pete Moe from the Exchange, and Rick Hughes San Juan County Councilman.
This month Sheriff Ron Krebs has accepted my invitation to speak next Friday January 15th at the Island Skillet to give us a “State of the County” update.
This should be well worth the 7 a.m. start of our fifth breakfast meeting where yes free coffee will be served at the Island Skillet in Eastsound.
Once again please come along and invite someone new to the crowd as anyone is welcome!
