— from Katie Fleming for Friends of the San Juans —
Friends of the San Juans is excited to partner with Orcas Island resident Toby Cooper to bring information to the community about green investing — a movement that benefits humanity and the planet.
Cooper, a sustainability advocate and career financial professional will trace rise of socially-responsible investing from an obscure religious practice to the influential $14 trillion entity it has become. He will show that “aligning your money with your values” can lead both to personal satisfaction and a demonstrable measure of social and environmental change, and will evaluate the potential impacts on investment returns.
All are welcome for a stimulating dialogue on a topic fundamental to our times.
