The Orcas Park and Rec Fall Soccer season starts tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10. We have both youth and pee wee soccer this year. We will have sign ups available at the park on Tuesday and Thursday. The times and dates are:
Practices:
Youth (ages 7 – 13) – Tues and Thurs: 3:30 – 5:00 on the lower fields of Buck Park (Sept 10 – Oct 24)
Pee Wee (ages 4 – 6) – Tues and Thurs: 3:30 – 4:30
on the lower fields of Buck Park (Sept 10 – Oct 24)
Games:
Pee Wee may organize games during the weekly practice times.
Youth Soccer games are played on the two ballfields of Buck Park on:
Saturdays: Game Time is 10:00 – 11:30
Game Dates are Sept. 21, Sept. 28, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Oct. 19, and Oct. 26
Signup online at www.orcasparkandrec.com use the big green registration button on the right of the screen. Registration before the afternoon of September 10th is $60 for Youth and $35 for Pee Wee. After that time the price goes up by $15. Registration includes a team T-Shirt.
Cleats and shin guards are required. Bring a soccer ball if you have one. We offer trade in shoes and have some shin guards to trade as well.
We also REALLY need coaches and assistant coaches. No experience required. Let us know if you can help out. We will be having a coach’s clinic on Saturday, Sept. 14th from 10:00 – 12:00 at Buck Park. Our soccer coordinator, Chama Anderson, will help you with how to coach and the rules of the game.
