Reception: Saturday, May 6, 5 – 7 p.m., Senior Center

— from The Senior Center Visual Arts Committee —

There are many talented and accomplished artists who live on Orcas Island. Although women make up the majority, men are also represented. They are painters, sculptors, potters, wood carvers, print makers and more. Their creative works enrich our lives and help us interpret the world we live in.

Join us to celebrate their many contributions to our community at the Senior Center in Eastsound. Their show is entitled
” A Gentleman’s View ” and will run from May 1 to May 26 in the Lundeen Room. The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show is produced by the Senior Center Visual Arts Committee.

The impressive list of artists represented in this show includes Frank Loudin, watercolorist and illustrator; architect and landscape painter Bill Trogdon; landscape architect and painter Clay Parsons, painters David Densmore and Peter Carlson, and oil and wax painter Bruce Wilson. Also included are painter and Tlingit wood carver Rich LaValle, wood carvers Walter Henderson and Aleph Geddis, and printmaker Eduardo Fausti.

An Artist’s Reception will be held at the Senior Center Saturday, May 6 from 5 – 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
