If April is Poetry Month, then it naturally follows that Orcas is Poetry Island.
Again this year we will be posting a poem a day throughout the month of April.
Over the years, some of the best poems printed on Orcas Issues have been written by our local poets. To specifically bring light to the wealth of poetry written by local poets on Orcas Island, Orcas Issues will be accepting poetry submissions by our local poets.
Please send us your poem in an email text, or a Word document to: editor@theorcasonian.com, with the word “Poetry” in the memo line.
Limit of three submissions per poet, please.
