Seeking AmeriCorps VISTA member to strengthen Orcas community

Orcas Community Resource Center (OCRC) seeks a dedicated AmeriCorps VISTA member to help advance our mission of fostering a healthy, equitable community on Orcas Island. This one-year, full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about community service and poverty reduction.

The Resource Center serves as a vital hub connecting islanders with essential services including housing support, food security, transportation assistance, healthcare access, and financial literacy programs. Our new VISTA member will play a crucial role in strengthening these services by:

• Enhancing existing systems and ensuring their sustainability

• Deepening community engagement

• Developing impact measurement tools

• Building long-term community partnerships

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program dedicated to fighting poverty through capacity-building at nonprofit organizations and public agencies. This position provides:
