Cindy Sapp, new nurse for Orcas Schools.
Today the OISD spotlight is on our new School Nurse, Cindy Sapp. Cindy started out working with children as a pediatric nurse at Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore MD. She also has a lengthy career as a school nurse in larger WA State districts, and her experience includes serving all grade levels.
She moved to Orcas just this year with her husband, Steve Sapp (Island Market’s new beverage manager). Steve was first to make the move here after years of working as and executive at Verizon. Their two children are now grown – Ryan (27) is enrolled as a first year law student at UW and Conner (25) works at a Bellevue financial firm.
Cindy is looking forward to getting to know the students of OISD. Welcome Cindy.
