And please remember that other Back-to-School Tradition — the big yellow school bus!
When the red lights are flashing, whether you’re facing towards the bus, or behind the bus, STOP — until the flashing lights go off.
That way you’re telling the kids they’re more important than your car — and it’s the law.

Thank you for posting this reminder – there will be 4 school buses on the road this year. Thank you for looking out for our island students.
Also — for parents dropping off at school — there is a new drop off in front of the Middle School. Staff/Admin/Board members will be out there tomorrow AM to help you navigate the change.
And one more-
For parents dropping kids off Please DO NOT let your kids jump out of the car while waiting in line in traffic as you are going past the Elementary school toward the turn around. Too many times kids bail out of the cars from all doors and narrowly miss getting hit by oncoming traffic. AND, the old crosswalk in front of the elementary school is currently uncontrolled (no stop sign). PLEASE be careful!
