The Orcas Island School District Board of Directors will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight.
Personnel items are the only action items identified on the full agenda, with approval required to open the Business Manager position at .6 FTE (slightly more than half-time employment), with the salary to be determined. This position will oversee the financial accounting for the OISD, and is currently held by Ben Thomas, working approximately .15 FTE or one-and-a-half days per week.
The other personnel actions to be approved by the board are to open positions for a half-time maintenance and grounds technician and half-time Facilities Director, with the pay rate to be determined.
As always, the public is encouraged by the Board and the District to attend, and there is scheduled time for public announcements and comments. The meeting will be held in the School Library.
