Youcan see the Toucan -- and Sarita Pockell too -- at the Vaudeville Show at Music in the Park this Sunday

Weekend workshop precedes Sunday performance at the Village Green

Sarita Pockell, children’s music singer-songwriter and musical theater director (who wrote “One is the Sun” and many other classic songs for young people) is coming to Orcas!

Sarita Pockell is a performing and recording artist, director, songwriter, and educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. She will be arriving with seven young performers from the Bay Area and will be offering a weekend workshop culminating in a Caberet-style performance for the Sunday in the park concert on July 17, beginning at 5 p.m.

This will be a collaboration between her California troupe and stage-loving kids from the Orcas Island. Sarita directs Vaudevillians Stage Troupe, a unique performance company of kids ages 5 to 14 years old that specializes in producing flexible, child-based cabaret-style shows.

Bring a picnic dinner and join in the fun!
