The fire, which involves three structures, is in the area of Spring St and 1st St S, according to the Orcas Island Fire and Rescue Facebook page. No injuries have been reported.
“OIFR crews have arrived San Juan Island, joining personnel from Lopez Fire and San Juan Fire to battle this blaze,” Orcas Island Fire and Rescue wrote on Facebook.
According to sanjuanislander.com, the fire was reported at 3:40 a.m.
Ferry commuters should check for delays and cancellations due to the fire.

Talking with others, I learned that fire-suppressing foam got lose in the seawater.
Don’t know how severe that is.
