With a vote turnout of only 42.37% in this off-election year, San Juan County reports the following early results as of 8:06 p.m. Tuesday.
San Juan County Proposition No. 1 Concerning a Charter Amendment:
Approved: 1,613 — 35.1%
Rejected: 2,982 — 64.9%
Total Votes — 4,595
Orcas Island School District #137 School Board Director 1 (Unopposed):
Chris Sutton: 861 — 100%
Orcas Island School District #137 School Board Director 2:
Justin E Paulsen: 388 — 31.88%
Tony P. Ghazel: 829 — 68.12%
Total Votes — 1,217
Orcas Island School District #137 School Board Director 3 (Unopposed):
Scott Lancaster: 865 — 100%
Port of Orcas Commissioners (unopposed):
Audrey Morrison Wells: 881
Dwight Guss: 824
Steve Hopkins: 846
