UPDATE: 12:12 p.m. Aug. 29 M/V Samish is an estimated 2 hours behind schedule. Due to mechanical issues the M/V Samish is running at reduced speed.
This delay will also impact the following sailings:
- Eastbound 11:00am Friday Harbor to Anacortes, and 2:20pm departure Orcas to Anacortes.
- Westbound 12:35pm Anacortes to Lopez, 1:30pm departure Lopez to Orcas Island;

Pending further repairs, M/V Samish continues sailing at half power on one engine and left Anacortes at 6:39 pm for a late 3:45 pm to Shaw and Orcas. This also delays the Orcas 5:15 pm to Shaw and Anacortes. The vessel will sail close to schedule for the Anacortes 9:00 pm to Lopez, Shaw and Orcas. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Pending further repairs, M/V Samish is sailing on one engine at half power. Samish left Anacortes over two hours behind schedule for a late 12:35 pm to Lopez and Orcas. This delays the Orcas 2:20 pm to Anacortes, Anacortes 3:45 pm to Shaw and Orcas and Orcas 5:15 pm to Shaw and Anacortes.
The vessel will sail close to schedule for the Anacortes 9:00 pm to Lopez, Shaw and Orcas.

It sure would be nice if the WSF would give us some indication of their intent so that we could plan. Will the HYAK come back to service on the 31st? If it does will they use it to replace the Samish or do we lose the Chelan so they can re-start the International run and leave us with the half-speed Samish like they did with the Yakima for a month or two?
Instead of telling us just which sailings are affected by the delays they could even estimate the real departure times since the slow Samish is apparently not going to resume normal speed without repair.
I wonder who the WSF views as their customers?
