Beauty and tradition combine to bring the Christmas spirit to the Rosario Mansion

Christmas trees return to light up the Moran Mansion at Rosario Resort & Spa throughout the holidays until New Years Day, 2015.

The trees in the lobby of the historic mansion are decorated by nine local non-profit organizations. Sponsored by Rosario Resort, the Festival of Trees is designed to be a fundraiser during this holiday season for the following participating organizations:

  • Friends of Moran State Park
  • The Funhouse Commons
  • Orcas Animal Protection Society
  • Orcas Family Health Center
  • Orcas Island Community Foundation
  • Orcas Island Farm to Cafeteria Program
  • Orcas Island Historical Society
  • Orcas Montessori
  • Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

The Festival of Christmas Trees was the original idea of Rosario Spa client Susan Meadows, and has been a great success, Rosario General Manager Christopher Peacock said recently.

Everyone is encouraged to vote for their favorite tree by purchasing a vote at $1 per ticket throughout December. Each organization will receive the voting dollars. In addition, the top three vote-gathering trees will be awarded additional cash prizes from Rosario Resort.

All voter tickets will also be entered into a raffle to win prizes, including two roundtrip tickets on Kenmore Air with a two-night hotel stay, dinner for two at The Mansion Restaurant, and a two-month Rosario spa pass. Tickets may be purchased at the front desk of Rosario before touring the tree display and casting your vote!
