Geiser Way house, subject of criminal activity investigation

David A. Andreev, arrested at 299 Geiser Way in the Rosario area on Friday, June 13, made a preliminary appearance at the San Juan County Courthouse today [Monday, June 16].

During the brief appearance a public defender was appointed to represent Anreev, and attorneys discussed the conditions of Andreev’s release pending the next court action, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, June 18.

Bail was set at $75,000. Further conditions are:

  • no contact with witnesses;
  • surrender of all firearms;
  • remain in Washington state.

Should he make bail, Anreev is to stay at an address on Rose Hip Road upon his release, and is to return to the Geiser Way address only under the supervision of a Sheriff’s deputy.

Charges relating to Delivery of Controlled Substances, and Illegal Possession of Firearms will be filed on Wednesday, County Prosecutor Randy Gaylord said. The schedule then calls for arraignment some time at the end of the following week.

On Friday, June 13,  a search warrant was executed by San Juan County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies, assisted by a Bellingham Police K-9 team at the Geyser Way home on Orcas Island in connection with a drug investigation. The search resulted in the seizure of drugs, scales, packaging materials, cash, and firearms.

The investigation had been “ongoing for quite some time,” Gaylord said. “It was identified as a place where violent criminal acts were happening,” referring to the armed home invasion by Bradley Stoner last December at the residence.

“The Sheriff’s office has been paying close attention… the charges follow from results of the search and other information.”
