Halfway up the side of Turtle Back Mountain on Orcas Island is Eagle’s Heart Sanctuary, 10 acres of beautiful woodlands, rocky slopes, magnificent views of the intimate valley below and yes, bald eagles soaring above our heads.

I invite you to the Wonderful Women’s Retreat from July 16 to 20, to enjoy camping, swimming, a sweat lodge ceremony, the company of wonderful women, and so much more.

Immerse yourself in nature, returning to the rhythms of self and of sisterhood.
Deepen your heart’s knowing through quiet walks in solitude and meditation.
Initiate yourself through a right-of-passage in an all woman sweat lodge.

Arriving on Thursday, we open the retreat with dinner and talk story around the fire, introducing ourselves to new friends and old friends; Friday, we begin to initiate ourselves through explorative conversation and water ritual (swimming in a deep mountain lake); Saturday we engage in the indigenous ways through the use of a sweat lodge and Sunday, we dance to the top of Ships Peak to celebrate our divine presence. Monday, for those interested in staying an extra day, we’ll kayak around Suicia Island, picnic and relax, and fall more deeply in love with ourselves as women and divine human beings.

Fees for food, facilitation and camping at Eagle’s Heart: $350. A daylong kayak adventure after the retreat will cost $120 – 10 spaces (only five left!)
