Retreat: In Search of the Face of God: Deepening our Images of the Divine

ChurchThingDuring this Lenten season of cleansing, we’ll take this weekend to contemplate imagery, iconography, holy symbolism and our unique relationships with them as bridges to the Face of the Divine.

Questions to consider for our time together: What personal wounded imagery has perhaps lingered in the shadows and created obstacles in that holy relationship? What imagery might be longing for welcome, inclusion, deepening, renewal?

We will utilize council and silence, time on the land in solitary communion, deep imagery, journaling, dreamwork, and communal worship, culminating in a ceremony of renewal and a Eucharistic celebration.

Your guides:
A new Orcas Island resident, Hugh Grant is a clinical social worker, Episcopal priest, and retreat leader who delights in helping people deepen their spiritual inquiry and relationship with the divine.
Dominica Bridget Kriz, MFA, is a writer, dancer and performance artist. Currently a Vision Quest apprentice at the Animas Valley Institute, she is devoted to imagery as the language of soul and bridge to the Beloved.

Cost:  $75-$200 suggested donation, includes a simple lunch both days.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Led by Hugh Grant and Dominica Bridget Kriz
