— from Jeffrey Cohan —

“Renaissance Winds” features two rarely heard renaissance instruments, the dulcian or renaissance bassoon and the renaissance transverse flute, for which combination there is a fabulous repertoire that is rarely if ever otherwise explored as the instrumentation is not specified, and hardly anyone plays the virtuoso repertoire for these instruments.

Anna Marsh and Jeffrey Cohan discovered this gorgeous combination a few years ago when asked to play for the Orcas Island Shakespeare Festival.

They explored this repertoire more thoroughly with lute as part of the festival two years ago, fell in love with it, and are excited to share a completely new program, this time with Henry Lebedinsky on harpsichord or organ.
