The 2nd annual Orcas Relay for Life will have an organizational meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at The Upper Room above Orcas HomeGrown on North Beach Road.
Dyan Holmes, event organizer, says that the Orcas Relay for Life, which benefits cancer research and is sponsored nationwide by the American Cancer Society, has already raised more funds and signed on more teams than last year’s event.
Volunteers are needed in many areas for the 24-hour event which will begin at 7 p.m. on July 10 and conclude at 7 p.m. on July 11.
