— from Dottie Cornelius —

I am very excited to tell you The Susan G. Komen 3-Day has opened registration for the Seattle “20-mile walker.” This year, Komen is offering an opportunity on Sunday, September 18 for people who have never participated in the 3-Day, but would like to experience this incredible event. If you have not been able to participate, but have wondered what it is like, and or have not been able to make the commitment for an entire 3 days, this could be perfect for you.

Do not worry about fundraising or training because you have 9 weeks. You have time to train and fundraise. You can do this! The beautiful thing is you commit to walking less than 20 miles and your fundraising minimum is $750 (there is also a $40 registration fee). And you will be part of helping to find cures for breast cancer and supporting those afflicted by this disease.

If you decide you would like to register, feel free to join our team “Island Girls.” I hope you will tell your friends and family and share this with everyone. The Komen 3-Day coaches will be available up to event time to advise and I am available to answer questions about fundraising and training. All you have to do is go to the3day.org and register, then you are on your way. I think you will love it! The positive atmosphere and inspiration is unmatchable.

Below is a summary of the event and questions and answers you might have.
