An Artist’s Reception will open the “Spring Awakening” Art Showing by Michael Gerard Mele from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, May 1 at the Senior Center. The photographic display will continue through the month of May.
Mele’s photos, in honor of Mothers, Mother’s Day and Mother Earth, feature the sights and scenes of local and regional Flora and Scenic Wonder. “This art showing honors …. all mothers including my own, who was a 30 year Breast Cancer Survivor,” says Mele.
“This showing precedes our local Cancer Walk and evokes the natural awakening and healing source and force found in nature.” This is a botanical and macro-photographic showing and will include some other local scenic treats. A portion of the proceeds from any Art sales this month will be donated to the local Cancer Walk.
