Tuesday, January 8th starting at 6 p.m. at the Orcas Senior Center, Henry Road, Eastsound
There will be a reception open to all for a show of art photography by talented local photographer Joe Floren at the Orcas Senior Center Tuesday, January 8th starting at 6 p.m.
After the reception there will be the first 2013 meeting of the Orcas Island Camera Club (OICC), starting at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend both events. There will be food and drink served at the reception but if folks want to attend both events and make this their dinner it would be best to bring a potluck food dish to share.
The OICC is open to all with no fees. It meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center. There are members of all levels of experience from seasoned professionals to rank amateurs and beginners. It is a place where photographers share images and information and just enjoy talking about photography. The January meeting is scheduled a week late because of the New Year.
Joe’s show will be hanging in the Lundeen Room at Orcas Senior Center from December 28th through the end of January. You can drop in to view the show anytime the Senior Center is open. For information on the show or the Camera Club contact Martin Taylor martin@orcasdigerati.com or 376-6935. The club has a web site at OrcasIslandCameraClub.org.
