Friday, August 8, 7 p.m., Random Howse
— from Nancy Wang —
An evening of words and music.
Fred Klein will recite both original and the poetry of others with the theme ‘Confessions’ in his languid Southern drawl that aims straight at the heart.
Anji Ringzin will delight audiences with the 13th Century poetry of Rumi in her quiet and mesmerizing voice laced with her English accent.
Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec will present an excerpt of the wild and courageous journey of 6 teens on a junk boat heading for California from China in 1850, and how they got their start in Monterey, Calif. With spoken word, music, and drama, the story will come alive.
Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo will also play an array of musical instruments to accompany the poetry as well as present – who knows what!! His creative musicality will just flow!
There is no charge for “Tales and Tunes.” Dinners from the Random Howse menu are available. Come early and get a good seat for a great evening!
