PTSA member Beth Morris came up with the idea to have a PTSA-sponsored Writers’ Workshop for Kids each month. The first workshop will be Monday, November 9th, from 3:15-4:30 p.m.  in the school libary.

The guest speaker will be local screenwriter (and School Board President) Janet Brownell, who will talk about “Eloise at the Plaza: From Script to Screen”.

The Writers’ Workshop for Kids series will present a different local author each month.  The sessions will be interactive introductions to various genres of writing and are primarily designed for kids in grades 4-8, but all are welcome.  Admission is free; though donations to the PTSA are always gratefully accepted.

Next month, on Monday, December 7th,  local children’s author Michele Griskey will be the next speaker in the series.
