||| FROM SAN JUAN COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS |||
The rumors are true, the Prune Alley Street Improvements project is planned for construction this year! But not just one block, the entire project, from Main Street through the School and North Beach Road intersection! County Council met on Tuesday 01/12/2021 and made the recommendation for Public Works to pursue “construction in a single phase during 2021.” Utilities are moving fast and have already started construction to relocate above ground utilities including power and communications.
Public Works is working with the design firm KPG to finalize construction documents and advertise the entire project for construction this spring. An estimated timeline looks like this:
• Advertise and award for construction in early spring 2021
• Construction spring, summer and fall 2021
• Project complete late fall 2021
