Tuesday, Jan. 31 Special Meeting begins at 9 a.m. in Friday Harbor
The County Council will hold a special meeting prior to its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31 to discuss Continued Rules of Procedure Discussion. That discussion, beginning at 9 a.m., will be followed by Council Committee Assignments.
The regular council meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m. Following routine matters, at 10:45 a.m., the council will hold a public hearing regarding a Housing Improvement Community Development Block Grant – Colin Maycock, Planner III.
Next is consideration of an Ordinance Revising the General Fund Reserve Policy – MileneHenley, Auditor.
Wireless/Broadband Options will be discussed with Orcas Power and Light Cooperative (OPALCO), represented by Foster Hildreth, Assistant General Manager; Tom Schramm, Consultant; following is a presentation of the Wireless Ordinance Update by Pete Rose, County Administrator.
Following a lunch recess at approximately noon, the Council will re-convene at 1 p.m. for a discussion of the Shoreline Master Program (SMP) Review – Colin Maycock, Planner III. The presentation will include a review of the revised public participation plan and of the SMP update process.
