Shake your booty at this fundraiser for The Exchange!

Saturday, June 8 at 8 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall

If you like funk, soul, reggae and salsa, and you like to dance, you won’t want to miss the debut of new Orcas resident and DJ Guskid.

Guskid will be spinning funk, soul, reggae hip hop and salsa at The Odd Fellows Hall on Saturday June 8th.

According to dance producer Ezekiel Barr, Guskid, (Gustavo Santos) has been a head-lining DJ for several years up and down the west coast. “He has an incredibly smooth technique with turntables,” says Barr. “He also has a great feel for crowds, and knows how to keep them moving. I am excited to introduce him to the community.”

The dance is also a benefit for the Exchange. All the funds collected, after expenses, will go to the Exchange Phoenix fund at the Orcas Island Community Foundation.

“We are thrilled that Ezekiel put this dance together, and that it will be a fundraiser for the Exchange, says ORS/Exchange board president Pete Moe. “In fact the timing is perfect, as Fred Klein is kicking off the Exchange re-design project this month!

The dance starts at 8 p.m. There will be a $10 suggested donation at the door.
