The Port of Orcas Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting this coming Thursday the 7th of February. Nothing has been officially scheduled at this time but Port Commissioner Greg Sawyer advises the public to check the website (https://www.portoforcas.com/) and in particular the window in the door to the Port’s office in the meeting room on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
Note that this meeting will be a “Special Meeting” and there will not be public access time. The normal meeting of the Port Taxing District is still tentatively scheduled for next week on Feb. 14 at 4:30PM
In accordance with the Bylaws of the Port of Orcas, Regular Meetings occur on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Port of Orcas conference room at the Eastsound Airport.
Most recently, they are typically scheduled for 4:30PM and typically run until 5:30 or 6PM. If you plan on attending, please check the posted time or call us to verify the schedule, because the time and date can be changed (and frequently is) in accordance with the same bylaws. As required by law, the notice is posted on the door of the meeting place at least 24 hours in advance.
