from JoEllen Moldoff, Facilitator

Six Tuesdays beginning October 8, 1-3 at the Library

Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry. —Mary Oliver

In this Poets Teaching Poets class, we will explore the work of a different poet each week: reading poems, discussing craft, and responding with our own writing. By sharing our responses and insights, we will increase our awareness of how a poem works, and in this way, develop our own talents as writers and readers of poetry.

All are welcome—poets and poetry lovers, experienced and beginners.

Fee: $20 for copying costs and donation to the Library, with checks payable to JoEllen Moldoff at the first session. There is no pre-registration.
