Wednesdays, February 3, 10, 17, and 24, 1-3 p.m. Orcas Library

— from JoEllen Moldoff, Facilitator —

The French poet Mallarmé wrote: “It isn’t with ideas but with words that one makes a poem.” In this 4-week series, we will read, discuss and write poetry.

Each week we will sample poems from a contemporary poet, and explore how the poems communicate with the reader. Writing prompts will be used to generate new poems in an encouraging and supportive group.

As always, the class is open to both experienced writers and those new to poetry.

Class fee: $15 payable at the first class.
