What does it mean to have a voice in America? In honor of National Poetry Month, an immigrant poet from Japan, and a first-generation poet who is the daughter of an El Salvadoran immigrant, will share their poetry in response to this burning question.
The Orcas Island Public Library welcomes poets Tina Schumann and Michael Schmeltzer on Sunday, April 16, at 4 p.m., who will discuss their work and answer questions about their inspiration and process. Moderated by Orcas Islander Jill McCabe Johnson.
