Oral testimony will not be heard at Feb. 19 meeting

On February 19, the San Juan County Planning Commission will formally open the public hearing on personal Wireless Communications Facilities, then immediately continue the Public Hearing to March 5, 2010 at (or after) 8:45 a.m. in the Council Hearing Chamber in Friday Harbor.
No public testimony will be taken on that issue at the February meeting. (The continuance is a procedural step required to meet legal notice requirements.)
Oral testimony on the proposed amendments to Personal Wireless Communication Facilities regulations will be taken at the Planning Commission’s March 5 meeting.
Written testimony regarding the proposed amendments will be taken at any time up to the adoption of an ordinance by the County Council. Upon the conclusion of public testimony on March 5, the Planning Commission may begin deliberations and following that make its recommendations to the County Council.
