The theme of this year’s July 2nd annual Community Parade is “Celebrating the Arts”!
What better way to celebrate the art of community, than creating a tasty pie to be sold to benefit our small but wonderful Orcas Island Historical Museum? The Pie Booth is our Museum’s largest fund raiser every year – each pie netting $25 or more.
But… to raise these funds, we need community members to contribute one (or more) pies for the booth.
Rhubarb, blackberry, chocolate, lemon meringue, pecan, apple, blueberry and strawberry-rhubarb… are some of the pies that sold rapidly in the pie booth last year. (Cookies for smaller children sold for 50-cents apiece. We could benefit from a few dozen of these donated as well: chocolate, chocolate chip, sugar – iced, decorated, or plain.) Please, no cream pies!!
Please reply to this email: “Count me in”, “Maybe next year” “No thanks”.
You can contact me directly or to the Museum!
