November 19, at 10 a.m. in the Orcas Center
— by Jan Jacobson —
Orcas Island Garden Club presents “Photography in the Garden Through the Seasons,” with Mark Turner. A Bellingham resident and graduate in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Mark has published in Garden Design, Sunset, Horticulture, and Organic Gardening.
His books include Wildflowers of the Northwest and Trees and Shrubs of the Northwest by Timber Press. Mark is a gardener as well as a photographer and will teach us to take better pictures and gain a deeper appreciation of nature at every turn of the season. Taking photos is a wonderful way to save those little beauties that only happen in your garden every once in awhile. They can then be with you for a long time.
The meeting begins at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, in the Madrona Room of Orcas Center. Membership is $20 for one year. Visitors are welcome. For further information, see orcasislandgardenclub.org.
