Power was restored to county internet and phone lines as of 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, according to a Rock Island staff member in Friday Harbor.
The outage was due to a downed line in Anacortes and affected DSL lines throughout the county. Fiber and LTE access was restored earlier on Thursday morning, about 1 a.m., while DSL was reported restored at about 5:30 a.m.
Wednesday, July 12 at 11 p.m.
A power outage that appears to affect most of Orcas Island continues since about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Gerry Lawlor of Rock Island reports that it appears to be a fiber break north of Everett, affecting multiple carriers.
