New functionality in forms (for PC) and the conclusion of the Development Review Consultation (DRC) Beta

FORMS
Conventional and Mobile/Manufactured home permit application forms have been revised. They now include auto-fill fields on like entries on subsequent pages. What this means is that when you enter your specific information on the first page of the application, and it is required on another form or forms in the packet, that information will auto-fill on those forms.

APPLICATION PROCESS – Development Review Consultation (DRC)
The Department of Community Development (DCD) has been working to develop a process that would provide better information regarding application requirements early in the building permit process.  This review process is called a “Development Review Consultation”, and the purpose is to reduce the number of applications that are submitted without sufficient information for review.  When applications are submitted without key reports, they are put on hold and the applicant is notified of additional requirements necessary for review to continue.  This is inefficient use of both staff and applicant time.

The department has requested DRC applications on a voluntary basis to test the process.  The test period is now over, and the department will be evaluating the results to determine effectiveness in reducing incomplete applications and streamlining the review process.  In the meantime, applicants with questions about application requirements are encouraged to contact DCD with their parcel number at dcd@sanjuanco.com.
