First of all let me say Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all in the sense of whatever that means to you. I sincerely mean that.
While never forgetting that I have much to be thankful for the empath in me is constantly judging my well-being in relation to those around the world that are not faring as well while realizing that much of their pain & suffering comes from my tax dollars.
Perception shaping is a policy that is used by politicians and their militaries in order to maintain an image of being a moral army, or of being a regime that values human life, values, and legal regulations when in reality the actions of both the policy makers and the military are enforcing just the opposite, and doing so while at the same time they are saying that this is abhorrent, or are condemning an act.
It seems a bit incongruent that while our government has adopted a system of governance that has kept us in constant war, is one that supports repressive regimes throughout the world, and is one that continues to support a long-term ongoing genocide in Palestine, that this administration has the audacity to front the image of peace and light in an attempt to convey a message of hope during what to many is a sacred time of the year. It represents the height of hypocrisy.
Though, again, I have much to be thankful for, (I’m relatively healthy, happy, I am loved, and am blessed to live in a wonderful island community during stressful times), I’m also a person capable of thinking for myself and can see through the razzle and dazzle.
Merry Christmas.
