— from The Catalyst —
Sharon Abreu is a Peace Ambassador. She met her partner Mike Hurwicz at a coffeehouse in Greenwich Village over fifteen years ago. Soon, the activist-singing-songwriting duo was appearing with legendary folk singer Pete Seeger at benefit concerts. Their music style is heartfelt folk with to-the-point lyrics about current issues. Their MO: to protect the natural systems we all depend on for water, air and food. Their focus is educating others on creating a culture of peace through BePeace practices and singing.

Thanks for posting this! The “Featured Artist” piece in The Catalyst e-zine is a little more than half way down the page on the right hand side. I’m honored by this recognition. I took the Peace Ambassador Training course last year and was so impressed with it. It’s a 16-week (one evening per week) online course facilitated by James O’Dea and Philip Hellmich, two remarkably courageous men who have done great work in peace building worldwide. The course focuses on cultivating peace from the internal to the international. The next course starts on April 16: https://peaceambassadortraining.com/course/PeaceAmbassadorTraining7. There’s a free call about the course today at 5:30 pm PT. If you’d like to register for the call, you can do that here: https://peaceambassadortraining.com/PeaceImperative
