ART:
After school art with Ms. Brook (this program is in progress, but there are 4 spots open).

SOCCER:
OIFC U14 Soccer Skills Training with Baturay Balic starts on February 14, 2022

RUNNING:
Running Club with Coach Mike Kulper starts on March 7, 2022.

DANCE:
A wide variety of dance classes are available for ages preschool through adult. Winter session is in progress, space is still available.
DROP-IN ADULT SPORTS
Drop-in adult sports are back! Programs are held at the Public Middle School Gym (“Old Gym”). In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep kids learning in-person, participants must follow the school masking requirement. At this time N95, KN95, or 3-layer surgical masks are required. Cloth masks may be worn over the required masks – no cloth mask only.
Monday: Pickleball (7:30 p.m.)
Tuesday: Basketball (7:30 p.m.)
Wednesday: Volleyball (7:30 p.m.)
Thursday: Pickleball (7:30 p.m.)
Sunday: Pickleball (10:00 a.m.); Futsal (2:00 p.m.); and Volleyball (7:00 p.m.)
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
OIPRD needs volunteer coaches! We will be starting baseball and softball programs the week of March 21, 2022. Recreational youth soccer will start mid-April and we are always looking for help with Running Club. Please contact Terri Rodgers at terri@oiprd.org or 360-376-7275 if you can help island youth! No experience necessary other than a love of sports and a desire to help kids achieve their best. Background check is required.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
OIPRD is hiring! We are searching for a new team member (full-time/year-round with benefits) to join us as a Program Assistant. This position helps create and implement adult and youth programs here on Orcas Island. We are also looking for a part-time, seasonal/temporary Park Steward to help manage and maintain Buck Park during the spring and summer months.
