Last night, islanders and visitors attending the fourth annual Orcas Idol competition, voted Pamela Wright as Orcas Idol 2009.
Wright is the Orcas Island Elementary Music teacher.
Donna Laslo, one of the event organizers for Orcas Island Prevention Partnership’s largest fundraiser, said, “our own elementary school teacher Pamela Wright rocked the house down! I will treasure that moment. Thanks Pam! Congratulations! So many wonderful moments…too many to mention. I was proud of each contestant that poured their hearts into their performances.”
Other Orcas Idol contestants who made it to the final round were Susan Weiss and Stephen Baker.
