Monday March 11, 6 p.m., Orcas Library
— from Mary Pugh for Orcas Island Library —
Monday March 11 at 6 p.m. local stand up paddleboard enthusiast Karl Kruger will highlight his upcoming trip through the Northwest Passage.
He will be taking a solo 1900-mile journey from Northwest Canada via the Amundsen Route to Northeast Canada just across from Greenland on a custom, 23-foot paddleboard. On this grueling physically and mentally demanding expedition, Karl will only have gear stowed on the board and sparingly supplied on stops at small First Nations villages and settlements.
In the Library’s Reading Room and supported by Friends of the Orcas Island Library.
